Want a warm and cozy fire without the hassle? Gas Logs could be your answer!

Everyone loves the idea of a wood fire. The coziness, warmth, and mesmerizing flames are something everyone wants in their home. But there is a downside.. Stacking and hauling wood indoors, ash clean up, the strategy to get it started, and the anxiety of making sure it is out before you go to sleep at night. What if there was a simpler way to get the wood fire feeling without all the hassle? THERE IS. Consider converting your wood burning fireplace to gas with a set of gas logs.

Depending on the type of fireplace you have will determine the kind of gas logs you need. If you have a wood burning fireplace, then you are most likely able to install gas logs in it. If it is not, it is most likely you cannot install gas logs. A few Ventless Fireboxes are allowed, but there are stipulations. Always check the owners manual to verify if gas log installation is allowed.

There are two types of gas logs, vented and ventless.

Vented gas logs can be installed in most any fireplace that is capable of burning wood. They must also be burned with the damper open. Vented gas logs can be installed in outdoor fireplaces and fire pits that meet your local building codes. You CANNOT install vented gas logs in any gas fireplace or gas stove including b-vent, direct-vent, and vent-free gas fireplaces. Again, they must only be installed in an approved fireplace that is fully capable of burning wood.

Ventless gas logs can be installed in any fireplace that is fully capable of burning wood and must be burned with the damper closed. Ventless logs can be installed in some approved vent-free fireboxes, providing the box is rated for that use. Always check the owners manual to verify your box allows this option. A ventless fireplace has no chimney, vent or damper. You CANNOT install ventless gas logs in any other type of gas fireplace or gas stove.

Gas logs can help achieve any type of look, whether it is contemporary or traditional. The many different options allow you to achieve whatever theme you are looking for.

Here at C. Bennett we offer a wide variety of gas logs that will fit your needs. Our knowledgeable sales people will help you pick out the perfect set for your home. Visit our showroom to take a look!
